Fall 2026 Update…..Exciting Changes are Coming to Mrs. Knits.
Mrs. Knits has been quiet on the internet because part of adjusting to widowhood was to take a step back from day to day operations at Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop to stop, breathe and reflect on her next steps.
Now she’s back and ready to move forward back at the helm of her beloved local online yarn shop. She is extremely grateful to everyone who has been supportive during this season of change.
So what’s next everyone is wondering? Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop is Growing!
We are adding multiple new collections and are curating collections of luxury fibers to include Italian Cashmeres, South American Alpaca and Pima Cottons, and European lines to surprise and delight Sophisticated Knitters. Mrs. Knits is also busy sourcing accessories to complement her fabulous yarns.
What’s Changing with Mrs. Knits?
As we work with our web developers and marketing team on creating a new website, we are using the transition period to close out a number of existing collections to make room for new ones. We will be posting to our DeStash Bin over the next week with updated clearance. This summer we ran eBay auctions into the Fall but we have decided to roll the remaining clearance back into the website due to unexpected negative changes at eBay that are disrespectful of Sellers. Enough said about that - let’s talk yarn!

Naturally, in rolling out collections and moving from our home based location to a commercial base of operations we had to make a hard decision about what to keep in our store vs what to let go of. Before we roll out the new yarns we are marking down the following collections to final clearance with more offerings added weekly.

Change is challenging and we had some hiccups along the road to growing our yarn shop. Gives new meaning to the term “Excuse our Dust” while we navigate our new normal. We are expecting a few glitches as we migrate our website operations and shipping functions but we also guarantee 100% customer satisfaction and will always correct any errors as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience if this occurs.
We also need to make some adjustments to our prices. We have not raised any of our retail prices since COVID but recently our vendors and shipping providers have raised their prices to the point where we needed to raise ours in order to remain in business. The good news is that we are working hard to add value to our increased prices by rolling out more content on Social Media with Viral Knits to surprise and delight our beloved yarn loving community. .
