Noro - Silk Garden Solo yarn
Silk Garden is an iconic best seller which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016. This beautiful yarn has a passionate cult following and deservedly so. At last count, it has been used in nearly 50,000 projects on Ravelry and is available in dozens of fabulous colorways! "I imagined a yarn that bloomed out of a garden of silk and silk/mohair fabric," says Mr. Eisaku Noro, its creator. We couldn't agree more.
What is it? Silk Garden in single colors with ombre shading rather than the original multi-color. Colors are intended to mix and match between the color palettes and by light to heavy weight versions. With the Solo you can double strand the solo with a jazzy sequin or metallic - making it sparkle without being difficult to knit up like some straight novelty yarns. Mrs. Knits would never put stiff yarns on her needles so of course we never promote unhappy knitting.
