Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop Update…

In Memory of Philip David Mariconda and in Honor of Chewbacca Mariconda we dedicate the grand reopening of the newly refreshed MKYS coming Fall 2026. It was too easy for his widow, Mrs. Knits to want to curl up in a puddle of tears and let go but she learned as a widow that to honor his memory she needs to move the business forward. Thank you to the amazing customers who have been 110% supportive.

With Mr. Knits passing in April, things had paused at Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop while Mrs. Knits takes time to grieve and sort out our business. Chewbacca, our former Morale Officer has moved to to pursue an exciting adventure elsewhere as a Service Dog and Professional Love Cuddler. Mrs. Knits almost left the craft industry, but just before it felt like too much, she found her muse. Being a widow does not mean she has to let her own aspirations die with him. So she decided after a few weeks leave to come back and honor Mr. Knits by growing a refreshed brand.

We have setup a temporary home at eBay for our annual clearance sale while we work out details of how to re-open our website. Had the expected headaches and challenges but it has also been a joy!

We are looking for a new retail space and are excited to fill the popular demand from our customers to come visit us in person. While we wait for that we do have the new fall yarns rolling in now and are onboarding a new team to serve you so stayed tuned her for updates.

We are offering 25% Off Storewide on all of our collections now. We are also moving forward with shifting our destashing bin off this website and over to the eBay store. The sale will go until August 31, 2026 during this transition and while we look for a brand new retail space in the Kitsap Pennisula to house a spin off The Yarn Stash!
