Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Birdies superwash merino wool yarn
Funny story! In our quest for indie yarn a few years ago, we found a very promising yarn from Germany, Rohrspatz & Wollmeise. With help of a nice person on their staff and a little patience, some gorgeous yarn arrived straight from the knitting bastion of Germany!
The one drawback of that wonderfully soft but firm superwash merino wool, is most of the labels and other materials are written in German. Mr. & Mrs. Knits learned another language or two, but German was not one of them. It took several attempts to decipher all the details - we wanted to do some justice to this amazing yarn!
Here we have what Rohrspatz & Wollmeise call Birdies. They are multi-packs of mini hanks of 100% superwash merino wool yarn. Some are gradients of each other, some are completely different colors. All are a vivid palette for fibrous creativity!
Viel Spaß beim Stricken! (Happy Knitting in German)
